Work & stay exchange

Working in harmony together

Introduction:

AHORA is a conscious coliving community in Tenerife, designed to offer remote workers and entrepreneurs a transformative experience. We combine coliving, coworking, and a curated program to foster personal and professional growth.

Application:

Each Community Manager is carefully selected based on alignment with our values and the specific needs of our team. Our aim is to create a harmonious and supportive environment.

Duration:

The minimum duration for a work and stay exchange is one month. During this time, Community Managers are expected to contribute 25 hours of work per week. The work schedule includes two daily shifts, with the team rotating between shifts to ensure fairness and variety.

The minimum commitment duration for this work and stay exchange program is one month. Participants are expected to fulfill this commitment, ensuring the smooth operation of the coliving community. The program should be completed unless both parties, the Community Manager and AHORA, mutually agree to breach the collaboration under exceptional circumstances or unforeseen events. Open and transparent communication is encouraged to discuss such situations and explore possible solutions.

Changes to our agreement, such as altering dates or accommodation, may be subject to availability. AHORA reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure events. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer suitable alternatives or provide refunds if applicable.

Work Responsibilities:

Community Managers are integral to our operations and are responsible for:

  • Managing the property and ensuring its cleanliness, including common areas and, at times, guest rooms.
  • Engaging in community management by fostering a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere.
  • Assisting in event management to create memorable experiences for our residents and guests.

 

In exchange for their contributions, Community Managers receive:

  • Simple accommodation, which may be shared or private based on availability.
  • Daily breakfast.
  • Basic food
  • Access to our network and participation in all activities and events.
 

Code of Conduct:

Community Managers are expected to adhere to our code of conduct, which includes respecting fellow participants, following house rules, and contributing positively to the coliving community.  Community Managers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner toward fellow participants, staff, and the property itself.

Privacy and Data Usage:

AHORA may collect personal information as part of the application process and during the work and stay exchange. By participating in the program, Community Managers consent to the use of their images or content for promotional purposes. During your work & stay exchange , AHORA may take photos and videos for promotional purposes on our website and platform. If you do not wish your image to be used, please let us know in advance.

Termination and Dispute Resolution:

Grounds for terminating participation in the program include violations of the code of conduct, inadequate performance of responsibilities, or other serious breaches of this agreement. Disputes will be resolved through open communication and mediation. AHORA retains the right to terminate a community manager’s stay based on violation of terms, guidelines, or disruptive behavior.

Safety and Security:

AHORA prioritizes the safety and security of all participants. Emergency procedures and safety measures are in place, and participants are expected to comply with them.

AHORA is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during your stay. Guests and community managers / volunteers  are advised to have appropriate insurance coverage. Please be aware that AHORA hosts open events on the premises that may include visitors from outside the coliving community.

Cultural Exchange and Learning:

We encourage cultural exchange and offer various learning opportunities during the work and stay exchange, including participation in activities and events. 

Transportation and Local Information:

Participants should be aware of local transportation options and recommended places to explore in Tenerife during their free time.

Legal Compliance:

Participants are responsible for ensuring they comply with all legal requirements, including necessary permits or visas for international participants.

Acknowledgment and Agreement:

By participating in the work & stay exchange, the Community Manager acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
