After years of hosting retreats and in-person experiences, I wanted to bring somatic coaching to more people and allow them to experience it, wherever they are in the world.
Ahora’s online somatic coaching programs are part of a growing global movement for embodied living and leadership: bringing the work of inner transformation into the way we actually live, relate and lead.
Combining somatic training, nervous system regulation and awareness, trauma-informed inner work, mindfulness, meditation, and embodied practices, these journeys are designed to help you close the gap between knowing and living.
Because real transformation isn’t only something you understand in your mind. It is something you learn to embody and bring into everyday life.

What is somatic coaching?
Somatic coaching moves beyond purely cognitive approaches to personal development by bringing the body into the process of change.
You can know your patterns. Understand where they come from. Know what you want to do differently. And still find yourself overthinking, shutting down, adapting, controlling or falling back into old ways of being when it matters most.
Rather than working only with thoughts, beliefs, and intellectual understanding, somatic coaching invites you to notice what is happening in your body: your sensations, emotions, impulses, patterns and nervous system responses held and expressed through the body.
By learning to notice and stay present with what arises, you begin to create more space between an automatic reaction and a conscious response.
This is where knowing can begin to become living.
Why this is important
Your body is constantly communicating with you. The way you breathe. The way you hold tension. The way you respond to uncertainty. The way you move towards or away from connection.
Learning to listen to these signals creates greater awareness of what is happening within you, and with awareness comes more choice. Instead of automatically reacting from old patterns, you develop the capacity to pause, stay present and choose how you want to respond.
This is embodied leadership: learning to lead yourself from within, so that your choices, relationships and actions become a conscious expression of the life you choose to live.
Somatic practices
Somatic coaching becomes meaningful when it moves beyond insight and into practice. Through somatic exercises and embodiment practices, you can begin to notice how patterns show up in your body and explore new ways of responding.
These practices may include:
- Body awareness & sensing
- Breath, grounding & mindful movement
- Nervous system regulation
- Mindfulness & meditation
- Emotional & somatic exploration
- Relational practice & integration
Somatic practice isn’t about perfecting a routine. It is about slowing down, staying present with yourself, and developing the capacity to carry that presence into everyday life.
What does somatic healing mean?
Somatic healing refers broadly to approaches that recognize the relationship between our physical experience, emotions, nervous system and patterns of response. For Ahora, this doesn’t mean treating or diagnosing a condition.
It means creating space to listen to the body, cultivate awareness, develop greater nervous system capacity and reconnect with yourself. This perspective can complement meditation, mindfulness, coaching and other personal development practices – helping you bring what you learn into lived experience.
This is where somatic work becomes less about fixing yourself and more about learning to meet yourself with greater presence.
Somatic coaching, rooted in embodied life.
Somatic work reaches far beyond the moments you spend practicing. It influences how you make decisions, communicate, relate, rest, lead and respond to the circumstances in life you cannot control. Somatic coaching helps you develop the awareness and capacity to meet these moments with greater presence, choice and self-trust.
The Ahora approach bridges body-oriented somatic practices and our modern understanding of the nervous system with ancient wisdom, meditation and consciousness. Rather than treating these as separate paths, I bring them together to deepen your awareness and connection to yourself.
The intention is not to add more information to what you already know, but to help you practise and embody it, bringing what you learn into the way you actually live.
